Daxi Fishing Harbor is one of northern Taiwan’s most famous fishing ports, known for its incredibly fresh seafood and lively fish market. We’ll take a walk through the bustling market, where you can see the day’s catch you’ve probably never seen before, before enjoying a delicious seafood lunch by the harbor. Fresh, authentic, and the perfect reward after an unforgettable hike!

A great hike for beginners.

I’m not really a hiking person, but I actually enjoyed this one! The trail was beautiful and our guide was very helpful. I also loved trying the baozi and rice balls. A very different day from exploring Taipei. We love Lina and Sharra!
An unforgettable day

We had to get up early, but I’m glad we did. The morning hike was peaceful and the views were beautiful. By the end of the day we were exhausted, but in a good way. Btw, Sharra and Lina were so warm and caring throughout the whole trip. They really made us feel welcome and showed us how friendly and kind Taiwanese people can be! Will definitely come back!!

I really liked that this wasn’t just a sightseeing tour. Having baozi for breakfast, visiting the fishing harbor, and trying local seafood made the day feel more authentic. We saw a side of Taiwan that we wouldn’t have found on our own.

The views from Taoyuan Valley were incredible! We were lucky with the weather and could see the mountains and ocean at the same time. A little tiring, but totally worth it. The seafood afterwards was the perfect reward.

We absolutely loved this tour! The Taoyuan Valley trail was peaceful and beautiful, and the scenery was completely different from what we had experienced in Taipei. Visiting the fishing harbor afterwards gave us a glimpse of local life. The seafood restaurant was another highlight. It was a long day, but every part of the itinerary was worth it.

What a memorable experience! We had a typical Taiwanese breakfast, baozi on the way to Yilan, and we really loved it! It was such a nice way to start the morning.
The hike in Taoyuan Valley was amazing, with beautiful mountain and coastal views. They even prepared rice balls for us to take along for the hike, which was such a thoughtful touch.
After the hike, we ended the day with fresh seafood by the coast. The combination of nature, local culture, and delicious food made this tour very special.
Everything was well organized, and we didn’t have to worry about transportation or timing. It was a full but really enjoyable day. A great choice for anyone who wants to explore beyond Taipei!

The Taoyuan Valley hike was gorgeous, with green hills and spectacular coastal views. I especially enjoyed the stop at Daxi Fishing Harbor because it felt authentic and relaxed. The seafood dinner was fantastic too. It was an enjoyable and well-organized day from beginning to end!

This tour gave us a little bit of everything. We enjoyed hiking through the beautiful Taoyuan Valley, exploring Daxi Fishing Harbor, and then having a wonderful seafood dinner. I really liked the balance between outdoor adventure and experiencing local life. The transportation and timing were very convenient, especially for travelers staying in Taipei.

Big shoutout to Sharra and Lina! They are honestly the sweetest,kind and always looking out for everyone and making sure we were all having the best time!We had such a great time on the Summit to Sea Escape. The hike was the highlight for me—the landscape was incredible and the views were unforgettable. The fishing harbor visit was also very interesting, and the seafood dinner was the perfect way to finish the day. Everything felt organized without making the trip feel rushed. I would definitely recommend it.

The views from Taoyuan Valley were spectacular. It was wonderful to spend the morning surrounded by nature instead of staying in the city. After the hike, we enjoyed a relaxed visit to Daxi Fishing Harbor before having a delicious seafood meal. Me and my friends had lots of fun and it's good to meet new friends during the tour. This was one of the most memorable experiences of our Taiwan trip. Taoyuan Valley was incredibly scenic, and we loved seeing the mountains meeting the sea. The stop at Daxi Harbor added a nice cultural element to the trip, while the seafood restaurant gave us a chance to try fresh local food. Everything was comfortable, friendly, and well organized.

We booked this tour because we wanted to see more of Taiwan outside Taipei, and it exceeded our expectations. The Taoyuan Valley hike was beautiful, with amazing views throughout the trail. We then visited Daxi Fishing Harbor and finished with an excellent seafood meal. The day was full but very enjoyable, and the transportation made everything convenient. A fantastic experience for first-time visitors to Yilan, Taiwan!

I absolutely loved this tour. The 360-degree views from Taoyuan Valley are hands down some of the best I've seen in Taiwan—it feels like a mix of New Zealand and the Scottish Highlands, but with tropical ocean views! Since we went on Thursday, the trail was incredibly peaceful. The seafood experience at Daxi Harbor was so authentic and delicious, and 'Xiao Lao Ban' restaurant handled everything perfectly. We got back to Taipei Station around 18:30, which was so convenient. Excellent value for money!

Wow, the Daxi Line stairs are a proper leg burner, but let me tell you, every single step is worth it! Reaching the Taoyuan Valley ridge feels like walking into a movie scene—rolling green hills, wild water buffaloes grazing, and the endless Pacific Ocean right below you. Descending into Daxi Fishery Harbor and heading straight to the seafood restaurant for a massive feast was pure genius. The food was so fresh it was unbelievable. Perfect itinerary for anyone who wants a real hike and real local food!

I chose this tour because I wanted a nature photography trip and doing it on a Thursday was perfect. Taoyuan Valley was so quiet and peaceful—we basically had the massive green ridge to ourselves and the wild water buffaloes! The contrast of the mountain peak dropping into the ocean is stunning on camera. The harbor visit afterward was full of local life. Getting back to Taipei Station by 18:30 gave me plenty of time for a relaxed evening. A highly professional and well-planned agency!

This Thursday tour is pure genius. The hike up Taoyuan Valley is challenging but incredibly rewarding with majestic scenery. But the absolute highlight for me was the afternoon food experience. Going to Daxi Fishing Harbor to see the local fish market, picking out live seafood, and having it cooked immediately at 'Xiao Lao Ban' restaurant was an amazing window into Taiwan's coastal food culture. The sashimi and fried squid were out of this world. Super smooth logistics and great value!

If you love hiking, you HAVE to book this tour. The Daxi Line to Taoyuan Valley is no joke—it's a solid climb up stone steps—but once you reach the ridge, my goodness! The 360-degree views of the lush green pastures contrasted against the blue Pacific Ocean and Turtle Island will leave you speechless. It looks like a fairytale. And ending the day at Daxi Fishery Harbor eating fresh seafood cooked right on the spot was the perfect reward. Best day trip from Taipei hands down!
